Jun 28, 2019 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport will greet a new airline on the runway by the end of the year: Laudamotion.
Starting from December 17, 2019, Laudamotion will launch services on its first route into Billund Airport from Vienna with two weekly rotations on the route.
Laudamotion will be competing on the route with Wizz Air, since November 18, 2018, offering two weekly rotations on other weekdays, granting Billund Airport a total of four weekdays with Vienna flights.
In August 2018, Ryanair completed the purchase of 75 percent of the shares in Laudamotion and announced plans to double the Airbus fleet from 9 to 18 aircraft.
