May 17, 2019 (newstodate): Swissport Cargo's take-over as operator of Finnair Cargo's COOL Nordic terminal at Helsinki Airport will have no effects on its existing cargo operations at the airport.
-The operation from June 1, 2019, of the COOL Terminal will be placed within a separate business unit with Tommi Voss, currently Swissport Finland Director Cargo as Swissport Director, COOL Operations, says Tomi Viitanen, Swissport Finland CEO.
-Operations at our two Swissport Cargo terminals at Helsinki Airport, now to be managed on an interim basis until Mr Voss' successor is named, will remain as of today, serving our existing customer portfolio at unchanged conditions.
-Under the new contract with Finnair Cargo, Swissport Cargo will take over responsibility for the daily operations at the COOL Terminal, leaving Finnair Cargo free to shift focus to network-wide data-driven operational excellence, supported by Swissport whenever feasible, says Mr Viitanen.
