May 15, 2019 (newstodate): Cargo volumes in April 2019 were up by 8.3 percent, y-o-y, at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport.
With 1,132 tonnes, April thus continued the strong positive trend in volumes in 2019, where January-April totals have reached 4,194 tonnes.
In April, cargo was 927 tonnes, while mail volumes contributed another 205 tonnes.
The growth in April 2019 is remarkable as Turkish Cargo started operating two weekly Airbus A330-200F flights through Vilnius Airport from April 19, 2018, raising the airport's cargo volumes on a sustained growth curve.
