Rising volumes of tourists are now pouring into the country that is seeing a dynamic rise in air traffic.
For the period starting from the last week of March through the last Saturday in October 2019, Georgian CAA has approved 590 weekly flight operations by two Georgian and 39 foreign airlines to and from the country's three international airports, up nine percent on 2018.
Tbilisi International Airport will be connected to 52 destinations, Kutaisi International Airport will have flights to and from 28 destinations, and Batumi International Airport will be connected to 14 destinations.
On the cargo side, Silk Way is operating freighter flights between Baku and Tbilisi, Cargolux is on-line from Luxembourg to Tbilisi via Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, and Turkish Cargo is operating freighter flights between Izmir and Tbilisi.
