May 02, 2019 (newstodate): The leading Polish charter carrier Enter Air has no reason to decry the demise over the recent years and months of competitors i the Polish charter market.
2018 proved a successful year for the carrier that saw revenues up by 35.7 percent and operating profits rising by 86.9 percent, y-o-y.
-Weaker foreign competition gave us a chance to gain an advantage when winning contracts in the low season on markets outside of Poland, says Grzegorz Polaniecki, Enter Air CEO & President in a comment to the report.
While Enter Air has been #1 in the Polish air charter market for years, now-defunct Small Planet Airlines Poland, earlier ranking #2, left room for expansion as it folded its wings from October 2018, leaving it to Ryanair Sun, now named Buzz, to face up to Enter Air in the market.
With a firm customer base among Polish tour operators including TUI Poland, Rainbow Tours, Itaka Holdings, and Coral Travel, Enter Air now operates a fleet comprising 21 Boeing 737-800 and two Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, currently grounded but compensated by two Boeing 737-800 leased from the Slovak ACMI carrier Go2Sky, and two Airbus A320 on a lease contract with the Bulgarian carrier Electra Airways.
