May 14, 2019 (newstodate): The new Danish airline venture, Great Dane Airlines is very soon to take delivery of its first aircraft.
One of two ex-Stobart Air Embraer 195LR aircraft has now been ferried from Norwich to Dublin after completing painting in Great Dane Airlines' colours and is awaited at Aalborg Airport within few days.
The two aircraft have been owned by the Cayman Islands-based lessor Propius, and Great Dane Airlines has reportedly opted for an outright acquisition rather than a lease.
Great Dane Airlines has recruited eight cockpit crew and 12 cabin crew members for a start with flights from Aalborg Airport to Dublin from June 21, 2019, with two weekly rotations, flights to Edinburgh from June 24 with two rotations, and flights to Nice from June 26.
