May 28, 2019 (newstodate): Starting from today, the Russian cargo carrier AirBridgeCargo, member of the Volga-Dnepr Group, is introducing a third weekly flight at Oslo Airport.
The service is set up to lift seafood shipments from Norway to Seoul and South Korea via Moscow in Russia, and all flights are operated with Boeing 747-8 aircraft.
The new departure will be operated on Tuesdays, adding to the carrier's existing Tuesday and Friday departures from Oslo Airport.
With the added capacity, ABC will offer the market close to 230 tonnes of seafood capacity from Oslo Airport on Tuesdays, translating into an extra NOK 250 mio in annual export value.
Since November 15, 2016, AirBridgeCargo Airlines has been operating freighter flights at Oslo as a twice-weekly service to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport for transfer to onward flights on ABC's extensive route network to Asia and USA.
ABC Airlines first entered the Scandinavian market in April 2014 with two weekly calls at Sweden's Malmo Airport as an en-route stop on the route between Amsterdam and Moscow with Boeing 747-8F freighters before moving the operation to Oslo instead.
