May 02, 2019 (newstodate): While still not officially announced by the airline, the Malaysian low-cost long haul carrier AirAsia is to launch flights between Thailand and the Czech Republic already in 2019.
Close to an official announcement, though, is the Czech prime minister's twitter revealing that the first flights on the route between Bangkok and Prague will be already on October 26, 2019.
AirAsia X Thailand will be operating a new Airbus A330neo on the route from Bangkok Don Mueang InternationalAirport.
The coming new route will be the airline's first into Europe.
On the agenda are also plans aired in 2017 for flights to Poland, Austria, Croatia and Hungary.
