May 06, 2019 (newstodate): Riga Airport will have a unique Asian airline on its runway in Summer 2019.
For the first time ever, the airport will have a direct non-stop connection with South Korea as Korean Air performs three charter flights with Airbus A330-200 aircraft between Seoul and Riga.
The carrier will be operating the flights on May 24 and 31, as well as June 7, 2019, organized by the Korean tourism agencies Hanjin Travel in partnership with KALTours and with the support of the Latvian Embassy to the Republic of Korea, the Tourism Department of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Riga Airport, and Tourism Development Agency of Riga, Live Riga.
