May 01, 2019 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's new low-cost carrier FlyArystan has now performed its first commercial flight.
The flights between Almaty and Nur-Sultan, earlier named Astana, took place today with the carrier's Airbus A320 aircraft.
In the fleet are now two Airbus A320 aircraft, and two more will be delivered in autumn 2019, while plans are to grow the fleet to 15 aircraft before the end of 2022.
The new low-cost carrier will start out with flights to a number of Kazakh destinations, but destinations in the CIS and Central Asian region will follow as the fleet grows.
While a separate company, FlyArystan will cooperate with the country's privately-owned carrier Air Astana.
