May 21, 2019 (newstodate): Finnair seems to be going all-in for code-sharing with the Chinese carriers on-line at Helsinki Airport.
From June 1, 2019, Finnair is thus code-sharing with China Southern Airlines that will launch flights between Guangzhou and Helsinki from July 1, 2019.
The new agreement comprises Finnair's route between Guangzhou and Helsinki and flights to selected Finnair destinations in Europe including Amsterdam, Riga, Billund, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, London, and Paris.
On the Chinese side of the equation, Finnair can add its prefix to flights by China Southern Airlines from Guangzhou to Changsha, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Sanya, Wenzhou, Xiamen and Xian.
Earlier this month, Finnair inked a similar code-share agreement with the Chinese carrier Juneyao comprising flights between Helsinki and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, as well as on a spree of Juneyao routes in China and Finnair routes in Finland.
