May 06, 2019 (newstodate): The re-certification process of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will involve current operators.
The first meeting of the Joint Technical Inspection Team has been held, with participants from airlines in nine countries examining the certification by FAA of the automatic flight control system of the Boeing 737 MAX.
Taking part in the process are representatives of the regulatory authorities of the countries with Boeing 737 MAX operators, as well as representatives from FAA and NASA.
The team members are provided with detailed assessments to discuss issues related to the development, certification, regulation, proper operation, and training of personnel for the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
Over the next few months, group members will examine in detail FAA's Boeing 737 MAX certification procedure.
According to the results of the study, each of the experts will be able to express his opinion on the certification procedure to the FAA and to make recommendations on how to improve the process.
