May 20, 2019 (newstodate): Cargo volumes through Lithuania's Vilnius Airport show a steady positive trend so far in 2019.
In April 2019, the airport thus handled a total of 1,132 tones of cargo including 927 tonnes of air cargo and 205 tonnes of mail.
Cargo volumes were up by 11 percent, y-o-y, while air mail volumes were rather unchanged, at 205 tonnes.
During the first four months of 2019, the airport has been handling 4,194 tonnes of airfreight, up 8.3 percent, including 3,403 tonnes of cargo and 791 tonnes of mail.
With the first flight on April 19, 2018, Turkish Cargo is operating two weekly Airbus A330-200F flights through Vilnius Airport, coming in from Prague and returning to Istanbul after the call at Vilnius.
