May 29, 2019 (newstodate): Azerbaijan's Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport has a rare guest on the runway on May 28, 2019: an Airbus A380 operated by HiFly.
   The first-time visit to Baku by the A380 carried a UEFA delegation from Manchester to the Europa League final to be held in Baku today, May 29.
   The Portuguese aircraft leasing and ACMI company HiFly placed the order for the ex-Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 aircraft in September 2017, and took delivery of the aircraft in July 2018 becoming thus the first charter carrier to operate the aircraft type.
   HiFly is also not precluding adding more A380 aircraft to the fleet after consolidating the experience with the first aircraft.
    Earlier in 2019, the carrier announced a second year with the Airbus A380 on firm lease contract.  
   Without revealing the customer for the A380, HlFly  confirmed that the aircraft has been placed on a firm contract with a single customer for the entire summer 2019 schedule from March till October.
