Apr 12, 2019 (newstodate): Plans for a projected new charter carrier in Russia, WeGo Air have stalled before it ever lifted off.
Plans were to launch the carrier already this month with a fleet comprising four Airbus A320 aircraft, to be based at Moscow's Ramenskoye Zhukovsky Airport.
Behind the plans were Ramport Aero, operator of Moscow Zhukovsky Airport, and the Lithuanian aviation group Avia Solutions Group that was also earlier part-owner of Ramport Aero.
The aircraft were to be sourced on a lease contract with the Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx.
But now the plans are shelved due to lack of financial muscles.
