Apr 02, 2019 (newstodate): Another charter carrier is now pulling out from Norway: Novair.
A subsidiary of the travel group Apollo, Novair's flight operations will be concentrated at Sweden's Stockholm Airport, leaving Norwegian cabin crews redundant while the carreir's two Airbus A321 aircraft will fly out of Stockholm only.
This is the second blow to the charter airline business at Oslo Airport after TUI in Autumn 2018 started a process towards outsourcing its short-haul charter flights to partner airlines, pulling out its own flight operations from Copenhagen, Malmo, Helsinki and Oslo, leaving only operations at Stockholm intact.
Apollo will not instead contract primarily SAS to perform its charter flights from Norway.
