Apr 17, 2019 (newstodate): Finnair has announced flights on its route between Helsinki and Guangzhou, in China, to go year-round from the coming new winter schedule 2019/20.
The carrier will thus be offering two weekly rotations on the route during the winter schedule while serving four weekly rotations using Airbus A350 aircraft during the current summer schedule.
Guangzhou became Finnair's fourth Chinese destination from September 4, 2005, with three weekly MD-11 rotations, going up to four rotations from summer 2006, but pulled out from the route from winter 2009 as recession set in.
Finnair however returned to Guangzhou again from May 6, 2015 with four weekly rotations during the summer schedules.
