Apr 25, 2019 (newstodate): The Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways is now planning for the introduction into commercial service of its first of two new Airbus A320neo aircraft later this year.
Atlantic Airways will receive the first Airbus A320neo aircraft in June 2019, slightly later than the original plan, March 2019.
The first destination to see the new aircraft will be Copenhagen Airport where the A320neo will make its debut from July 1, 2019, alternating from then on with the Airbus A320 aircraft.
According to the current listing, the A320neo will be serving from October 28, 2019, on routes to Edinburgh and Keflavik Airport as well as calling at Aalborg and Billund Airports on December 19 and 20, 2019, respectively.
In the fleet of Atlantic Airways are now two Airbus A319 and one Airbus A320 aircraft, and one Airbus A319 aircraft will be handed back to the lessor as the first Airbus A320neo enters service.
The carrier will then take delivery of its second Airbus A320neo in spring 2020, with both aircraft on long-term lease contracts with ALC.
