Apr 29, 2019 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has now received its 17th Airbus A220-300 aircraft, landing in Riga on April 26, 2019.
The aircraft is delivered on a 12-year lease contract with aircraft leasing company Avation PLC, and is the fifth aircraft delivered by this lessor to airBaltic.
-This addition grows takes our overall fleet to 44 with a further 12 aircraft on order out to the year 2022, says Jeff Chatfield, Avation Executive Chairman.
The latest delivery was the third new aircraft in 2019, and airBaltic will receive five more aircraft before the end of the year.
The next Airbus A220-300 for airBaltic is already now in its flight test program starting with the first flight on April 25, and #19 is on the final assembly line, soon to be joined by #20.
