Mar 13, 2019 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has added a new Airbus aircraft to its fleet.
This week, the carrier took delivery in Hamburg of the first of two Airbus A320neo under a lease contract with BOC in Singapore.
Earlier slated for December 2018, the delivery was delayed by the aircraft manufacturer.
Uzbekistan was the first airline operator in the CIS to introduce western-built aircraft, replacing its Soviet-built fleet starting from 1993 when it received its first two Airbus A310 aircraft
In the fleet are already 10 Airbus A320, three Boeing 787-8, seven Boeing 767-300ER, and six Boeing 757-200 aircraft as well as two Airbus A300-600F and two Boeing 767-3200F freighter aircraft.
On orders is the second Airbus A320neo to be delivered in April 2019, and four Boeing 787-8 aircraft to be delivered in April-June 2019.
