Mar 05, 2019 (newstodate): Sweden will see Wizz Air introducing its new Airbus A321neo on several routes from this summer.
Starting from March 31, 2019, Wizz Air will thus be operating the new aircraft type from the base at Budapest on routes to Malmo and Stockholm Skavsta on four and three weekly rotations, with Stockholm Skavsta going up to seven weekly from June 16.
The new aircraft will also be introduced on the route from Budapest to Malmo with four weekly flights from June 2, 2019.
Wizz Air has placed orders for a total of 184 Airbus A321neo aircraft, with deliveries from 2019 till 2026.
The new aircraft will seat 239 passengers compared to the 180 passengers on the carrier's current workhorse, the Airbus A320 aircraft, that numbers 72 in today's fleet.
