Mar 01, 2019 (newstodate): In its 2018 Interim report, the Swedish/UK cargo carrier West Atlantic notes a sound development in revenues, up 14 percent, y-o-y, and continued strong growth for the Group’s Boeing 737 fleet, partly offset by the reduction in the Norwegian postal network.
West Atlantic states that all four Boeing 767 freighters are on firm contract with TNT at Liege for intra-European operations, and with all four Boeing 737-800BCF freighters in service the prospects are good - but the overly large ATP freighter fleet remains a burden.
In 2018, West Atlantic managed to sell four of the ATP freighters, but by the end of the year the fleet still comprised 31 aircraft of which 17 are long-term parked, 13 in service and one on a dry-lease contract.
In the fleet are also six Boeing 737-300, 14 Boeing 737-400 and two CRJ200PF cargo aircraft.
