Mar 18, 20190 (newstodate): Ryanair Sun, a standalone business unit of the Ryanair Group, and to be re-branded as Buzz from this autumn, will be a common sight also at Scandinavian airports.
Buzz, operating on Polish AOC, will have two core business segments - charter flights for tour operators, and capacity provider for the mother carrier Ryanair.
Starting from October 2019, Buzz will thus serve Ryanair with flights from Gdansk and Katowice to Gothenburg from October 27 and 30, respectively, with three and two weekly rotations from the start.
Buzz will also be serving on Ryanair routes from Gdansk to Copenhagen and from Katowice to Oslo Torp Airport from this winter schedule.
Starting out with five Ryanair Sun aircraft, Buzz will be operating a fleet of 17 Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Polish register, increasing to 25 aircraft in summer 2019 already.
Granted its Polish AOC on April 3, 2018, with just one Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Polish registration, Ryanair Sun performed its first commercial flight on April 26, 2018.
