Mar 15, 2019 (newstodate): In January-February 2019, Copenhagen Airport saw its total cargo volumes including both commercial and integrator traffic down by four percent, y-o-y.
The airport thus handled 56,216 tonnes during the two months against 58,652 tonnes in 2019.
While the total volumes were down, cargo in passenger aircraft belly holds still increased by 9.6 percent to 20,215 tonnes, confirming the airport's stress on this cargo segment in its strategy for enhancing the position in the market.
Still in the non-integrator traffic, both mail and trucked volumes contributed to the downward trend at Copenhagen Airport, decreasing 11 and 13.1 percent, respectively.
Cargo carried in the integrator traffic for once also did not show increase in this period that saw volumes down by 3.7 percent, to 12,642 tonnes.
