Mar 18, 2019 (newstodate) Russia's largest charter airline Azur Air has added a second Boeing 777 aircraft to its growing fleet.
The carrier has obtained the lease from AerCap of its second Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that will be deployed on charter long-haul flights to leisure destinations.
The latest aircraft delivery brings the airline's fleet to a total of 26 aircraft, including nine Boeing 767-300, eight Boeing 757-200, five Boeing 737-800 and two Boeing 737-900.
On order are two more Boeing 777-300ER fleet, like the first two sourced from Emirates.
In February and March 2018, the carrier was close to losing its AOC due to the findings of several alleged safety violations, but it was eventually cleared to lift off again on March 20, 2018.
