Mar 05, 2019 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport noted a rise in total cargo volumes handled in February 2019.
A total of 821 tones of cargo and mail was handled during the month that was, however, still marked by a sustained decline in cargo imports - down 20.8 percent, y-o-y, after falling also by 15,1 percent in the preceding month.
Cargo exports showed a slight increase by 0.9 percent to 267 tonnes after dropping 12 percent in the month before.
Securing growth were mail volumes, where exports were up 52.7 percent to 128 tonnes after rising also 72.5 percent in January 2019.
Import mail volumes also increased by 7.4 percent to 88 tonnes.
