Mar 08, 2019 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is gaining momentum in cargo volumes in 2019.
After a growth in volumes by 7.8 percent, y-o-y, in January 2019, volumes grew further by 9.4 percent in February, to a total of 939 tonnes of cargo.
February 2018 was actually already record-setting with a growth in cargo by 23.1 percent, y-o-y.
Included in the totals February 2019 were 765 tonnes of cargo and 734 tones of mail.
Contributing to the cargo growth at the airport is Turkish Cargo that has been online with a twice-weekly freighter service since April 19, 2018.
