Mar 06, 2019 (newstodate): Obedient to the instruction by the country's president, Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure is working hard to set up new intercontinental routes.
The Ministry has prepared an Agreement on Air Communication between Kazakhstan and the United States, scheduled fir signatures in March 2019, and paving the road for launch of flights operated by Air Astana between Astana and New York from late in 2019.
Also in the pipeline are other future route openings to Tokyo and Shanghai.
The President has also decreed the launch of a new Kazakh low-cost carrier, Fly Arystan Airlines that is expected to start operations already by H1, 2019.
The new LCC will start out with a fleet comprising four and growing to up to 15 Airbus A320 Family aircraft over a four-year period.
While a separate company, Fly Arystan will cooperate with the country's privately-owned carrier Air Astana.
