Mar 08, 2019 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's Air Astana is building its fleet of Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.
Delivered on a lease contract with AerCap, Air Astana received its first Embraer E190-E2 in December 2018 and has now taken in the second aircraft.
By the end of 2019, the carrier will receive a further two aircraft, with the fifth and last under the current contract will arrive in 2020.
The first aircraft entered commercial service from December 19, 2018, and the fleet will be operating primarily on Kazakhstan's domestic route network.
In the fleet of Air Astana are also nine Embraer E190 aircraft that will be phased out gradually as the new aircraft arrive.
