Mar 06, 2019 (newstodate): Accounting for 80.2 percent of all air cargo carried by Russian airlines, the top-5 carriers lifted a total of 60,254 tonnes of cargo in January 2019.
Leading the list was, as usual, ABC with 38,830 tonnes, but down 15.8 percent, y-o-y.
Trailing behind was Aeroflot with 13,636 tonnes, down 17.1 percent, followed by Pobeda with 3,658 tonnes and up 45.2 percent, Rossiya with 2,166 tonnes and up 9.3 percent and finally Abakan Air with 2,054 tonnes.
In January 2019 Volga-Dnepr ranked only #11 with 1,142 tonnes and steeply down by 39 percent, while Sibir, normally also among the Top-5 carriers, landed as #6 with 1,959 tonnes.
In total, the 35 Russian airlines on the list lifted 74,712 tonnes which was a drop by 13.3 percent, y-o-y.
