Mar 28, 2019 (newstodate): After a prolonged struggle for survival, Iceland's WOW Air has breathed its last sigh and is now declared bankrupt.
As of now, all WOW Air flights has been cancelled after last-ditch efforts to manage a recapitalization of the airline's debts pile failed.
The bankruptcy leaves the carrier's seven remaining aircraft grounded in US and Canadian airports as well as at Copenhagen Airport.
Set up in 2011, WOW Air's fleet topped with a fleet comprising 20 aircraft operating routes to more than 40 destinations in North America, India, and Europe.
