Mar 22, 2019 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air will become the first non-Icelandic carrier to operate a double-digit route network from Keflavik, Iceland, from this summer.
With the latest new route opening on September 16, 2019, between Krakow and Keflavik, Wizz Air will add two more rotations at the airport to its Icelandic network then comprising 10 destinations.
Wizz Air is already serving Gdansk, Katowice, Warsaw Chopin and Wroclaw from Keflavik, with the addition of flights to Krakow, the airline will be offering 14 weekly departures to Poland from Iceland.
In addition to its Polish routes, Wizz Air also operates from Keflavik to Budapest, London Luton, Riga, Vienna and Vilnius.
Wizz Air launched its first route from Keflavik on June 19, 2015, with flights to Gdansk, in Poland.
