Mar 08, 2019 (newstodate): Starting from March 1, 2018, ASR Cargo Center has now passed it first full year as provider of air cargo handling and cargo terminal services at Finland's Helsinki Airport. With a total area of 3,000 sq m, ASR Cargo Center comprises a temperature controlled area for handling of perishables, cooling and freezer facilities, special areas for VAL and DGR, X-ray scanning and other pertinent services. The cargo terminal, fully owned by ASR, benefits from a partnership between Aviator and ASR Cargo, combining Aviator's ground handling and ASR Cargo Center's cargo terminal. -Starting out with only off-line airline customers, ASR Cargo Center added Lufthansa Cargo as its first on-line customer in September 2018, and two Chinese on-line carriers will join in 2019 - Tibet Airlines from April 8 and Juneyao Airlines from June 13, 2019, says Veijo Karosvuo, Aviator Finland Managing Director. -As for Aviator Finland, we have now renewed contracts with Japan Airlines and TUI, and new airline customers in 2019 include Ukraine International Airlines and Aegean Airlines. -Aviator and ASR Cargo Center decided to join forces in 2018 to market a joint and full-package handling solution at Helsinki Airport - and we are now reaping the fruits from this vision, growing together step by step, says Mr Karusvuo.
