Mar 12, 2019 (newstodate): The Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways is receiving its first of two ex-factory Airbus A320neo aircraft in 2019, while the actual delivery date has been slightly adjusted.
Earlier slated for delivery already in March 2019, Atlantic Airways now expects to see the aircraft at Vagar Airport in June 2019, with the second delivery still scheduled for "spring 2020".
Delivered under a lease contract with the US company Air Lease, both aircraft will be equipped with precision navigation equipment utilizing the RNP-AR flight procedures provided by Quovadis.
Based at Vagar Airport, Atlantic Airways operates a fleet comprising two Airbus A319 and one Airbus A320 aircraft, as well as two AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters.
One of the two A319 aircraft is due for redelivery to is owner in spring 2019 as the first A320neo enters commercial service with Atlantic Airways.
