Mar 19, 2019 (newstodate): Finnair's second of two Airbus A350-900 deliveries in 2019 is now approaching.
The aircraft, the 14th for Finnair, has left the final assembly line and is now in the paint ship prior to final fitting preceding the start of the test flight program that normally requires about one month before customer acceptance.
Re-arranging the delivery scheme once again in 2018, one aircraft delivery was moved forward from 2023 to 2019, while another will be delivered in 2020 rather than 2022 as earlier planned.
Finnair will thus receive two aircraft in 2019, the first of which was delivered on February 13, 2019, two in 2020, two in 2021 and the last of the 19 aircraft ordered in 2022.
Earlier, the last Airbus A350 for Finnair was slated for delivery in 2023.
Finnair received its first Airbus A350 aircraft from Airbus on October 7, 2015, as the first European operator of this aircraft type.
