Mar 07, 2019 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo saw its total cargo volumes up by 24.5 percent, y-o-y, in February 2019, with ASK rising 14.5 percent - and RSK up no less than 24 percent.
Growth in volumes was seen especially in the crucial Asian market where volumes rose 22.4 percent to 8,623 tonnes, loads on the European traffic increased by 101 percent to 2,262 tonnes, and the NAM volumes also rose 35.9 percent to 699 tonnes.
The first two months of 2019 has thus generated a total of 23,619 tonnes of cargo on Finnair flights, an increase by 26 percent, y-o-y.
-The growth is mostly driven by the strong positive cargo market development in Japan and Western Europe, Finnair says in its comment to the monthly statistics.
