Mar 21, 2019 (newstodate): Within the coming few days, the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jet Time will put its fourth Boeing 737-800 aircraft into commercial service.
-The third aircraft was put into service only on March 15, 2019. The fourth aircraft, formerly operated by Jeju Air, is now in our hangar, put on our AOC and approved by the Danish CAA, and now just awaiting to be released for service, and then all four aircraft will be flying, says Birthe Madsen, Jet Time VP Management Support.
-According to our Core Business Plan 2020, a further two aircraft will be added to the fleet, either Boeing 737-700 or -800, which has yet to be determined.
-The current issues with the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft have generated quite some requests from ACMI customers as well as charter operators hit by the current grounding of the aircraft type. And we have been able to provide some ad-hoc flights to relieve the pressure.
-At the same time we have cooperated closely with our partner TUI to re-deliver our dry-lease of TUI's Boeing 737-800 aircraft G-TAWJ one month prior to expiry, and replaced this with out own new third Boeing 737-800 released only last Friday.
-A win-win situation for both parties, says Ms Madsen.
In the fleet of Jet Time are now six Boeing 737-700 and four Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
