Mar 05, 2019 (newstodate): The first of six Airbus A220-300 aircraft for delivery to Latvia's airBaltic in 2019 is now in the air.
The aircraft performed the first flight in its test program on March 4, 2019, signaling its delivery with a month.
Of the remaining five A220-300 aircraft, four are now on the final assembly line while the last aircraft is still earlier in the production process.
With the delivery of this batch of aircraft completing the first order, airBaltic will end up with 20 aircraft by year-end 2019, and the carrier will also have phased out its last remaining Boeing 737 Classic aircraft from this autumn already.
