Feb 07, 2019 (newstodate): At yesterday's Copenhagen Airport Cargo Community event, WFS Denmark revealed a project to establish a new pharma facility at its premises.
With investments approved by the WFS Board only 11 days ago, WFS Denmark is to start construction of a 1,500 sq m facility in an existing building connecting its two terminals.
The reconstruction of the existing building will start already in April this year, and plans are to commence the CEIV pre-certification process already by July 2019.
When commissioned, the pharma facility will have the capacity to providing temperature-controlled end-to-end handling of 300 pallets and 30 PMCs in the 2-8 degrees range, in addition to the capacity to provide temperature-controlled handling space in the 15-25 degrees range at other parts of the cargo terminals.
The construction of the new pharma-dedicated facility comes in response to a strong growth in 2018 by 90 percent, y-o-y, in the volume of pharma shipments handled by WFS Denmark.
