Feb 18, 2019 (newstodate): When the coming new airline venture, Great Dane Airlines lifts off from Aalborg Airport, supposedly on June 14, 2019, its first two aircraft share a Russian history. The two Embraer E195 were formerly delivered to the now-defunct Russian airline Saratov Airlines that was grounded on May 30, 2018, when the Russian aviation authority revoked its AOC. The two Embraer 195 delivered in April and May 2018, respectively, actually never entered commercial service with the carrier before Saratov Airlines lost in permits. They were then returned to the lessor, GECAS that is now placing them instead with Great Dane Airlines.
