Feb 26, 2019 (newstodate): Hummingbird Aviation Services Sweden is introducing new capacity to Sweden's air cargo market.
Earlier this month, the company took delivery of a dedicated cargo aircraft, a Beech 1900C with a large cargo door and a range of up to 1,200NM, now stationed at Gothenburg Airport close to industrial centers and Gothenburg's commercial harbor.
-Hummingbird Aviation Sweden has long been serving the cargo market with ad-hoc and express services by using our passenger aircraft capacity, says Harry Liska, Hummingbird Aviation Services Sweden COO.
-This demand has been growing steadily, convincing us of the business potential for adding further services in this segment by introducing our first freighter in the fleet.
-Customers in the e-business and otherwise requiring uplift on smaller freighters on an ad-hoc and express basis will benefit from this new service, and this constitutes the core of the market for this freighter as we now undertake to boost the marketing in the air cargo market, says Mr Liska.
Based on the initial market response to the new cargo service, the airline does not preclude the possibility of adding more freighters to the fleet.
