Feb 14, 2019 (newstodate): Norway's export to China of fresh salmon did not make a head-jump in the first six weeks of this year.
The total volumes landed at 2,797 tonnes against 2,324 tonnes during the same period in 2018.
Volumes to Hong Kong were 1,652 tonnes against 2,227 tonnes, and volumes to Taiwan were 1,035 tonnes compared to 1,246 tonnes in 2018.
The total volume of Norway's salmon exports to the world's market places were 95,344 tonnes in weeks 1-6, 2019, compared to 98,315 tonnes in 2018.
It should be noted that the Chinese New Year does of course have an impact on the volumes destined for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
