Feb 25, 2019 (newstodate): Despite the current cooling of relations between Russia and USA, the two countries will continue aviation talks as planned.
Representatives from the two sides will thus meet in Washington on February 26-28, 2019, for talks on the further development of air services.
The two countries last met for aviation talks in June 2018 when issues including transit cargo flights by American airlines through Russian airspace were high on the agenda.
This issue is sure to be a main topic this year as well after the USA retaliated Russia's hindrance of transit flights by tightening the restrictions on three Russian airlines Aeroflot, AirBridgeCargo, and Yakutia.
