Feb 20, 2019 (newstodate): The Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian's Swedish company, Norwegian Air Sweden is now seeing green lights for opening of new long-haul routes from Sweden, notably Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
After obtaining its Swedish AOC in December 2018, the company has now also landed its AOC from the US authorities paving the road for start of new direct air services between Sweden and the USA.
The carrier is however also eyeing potentials for launch of long-haul flights from Sweden to destinations in the Far East, where route opening will still depend on a long sought-after revision of the aviation agreements with Russia to open up for flights via the Sibir air lanes.
