Feb 07, 2019 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT has now taken delivery of its 12th Boeing 787 aircraft.
Landing today at Warsaw Airport, the new aircraft is a Boeing 787-9 offering 40 more seats than the Boeing 787-8, and it will be introduced in commercial service already later today on the route from Warsaw to Toronto, Canada.
After this, the aircraft will be allocated to serving routes from Warsaw to North America and Asia including the new route to Delhi to be launched on September 17, 2019.
As the first European operator of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, LOT took delivery of its first Boeing 787 aircraft in December 2012.
In the fleet are now eight Boeing 787-8 and four Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with orders for a further three of the larger version.
