Feb 26, 019 (newstodate): Iran is struggling to keep its aviation industry in the skies despite the effects from the harsh US-led sanctions against the country.
But while the sanctions put an immediate stop to the deliveries of 118 new Airbus, 20 ATR and 80 Boeing aircraft ordered, the country's airlines are finding ways to replenish their fleets of ageing aircraft.
As one latest example, Iran Air has acquired three Airbus A319 aircraft for entry into commercial service by April 2019 already.
For good reasons, the actual sourcing of the aircraft has not been revealed, but a Hungarian company is said to be involved in the complex transaction.
