Feb 06, 2019 (newstodate): The Latvian cargo and passenger ACMI carrier RAF-Avia is now plying the skies on the route connecting Savonlinna with Helsinki Airport.
Starting from February 4, 2019, RAF-Avia introduced its ATR-42 aircraft on the route, replacing an Embraer 120 aircraft from the Hungarian airline BASe.
The Hungarian aircraft was actually in itself a temporary solution to fill a void after RAF-Avia experienced an aircraft incident with the SAAB 340 aircraft that was planned to operate the route from the start of this year.
