Feb 22, 2019 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier RAF-Avia has divested of its last operating SAAB 340 freighter aircraft.
In the fleet of the carrier are two SAAB freighters, of which one has long been grounded due to lack of engines and sold as hull.
After the sale of the only operative SAAB 340 freighter, the carrier sees its future with ATR 72-200F freighters of which two are now in the fleet, and RAF-Avia is also still operating four AN-26 aircraft; one is on a contract with DHL, one is serving as back-up to secure regularity, and two are leased out for operations in Africa.
