Feb 19, 2019 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines will have to wait for delivery of its fourth Boeing 777-200ER long-haul aircraft.
Originally slated for delivery in Q4, 2018, the delivery date was pushed forward due to unforeseen needs for further technical evaluation and maintenance.
The delivery was then re-scheduled for this year's April, but has now been called off.
Instead, the aircraft has been found in an unacceptable condition and has been flown to Goodyear Airport for cannibalization.
At the moment, the airline will thus have to do with its three Boeing 777.
The first of four Boeing 777 aircraft sourced from Asiana Airlines to be delivered to UIA arrived in Kiev in February 2018, and all four should have been commissioned before the end of the year.
