Feb 19, 2019 (newstodate): Iraq’s only Kurdish airline Fly Erbil hopes to resume flights to Sweden in summer 2019.
Plans are to start flights from Erbil to Stockholm Arlanda from March 5, 2019, adding flights from Sulaymaniyah to Stockholm from March 12, 2019, in both cases with one weekly rotation via Kiev Boryspil Airport.
Also planned is the launch of flights from March 17, 2019, from Erbil via Kiev to Gothenburg, with one rotation every second week.
All flights will be performed with a Boeing 737-300 on a lease contract with the Ukrainian carrier Jonika that on its part has leased two Boeing 737-300 aircraft from the Estonian company Higher Azure Avia.
